The Grundtvig programme focuses on the teaching and study needs of those in adult education and alternative education streams, as well as the institutions and organisations delivering these services. Supporting lifelong learning and mobility in this way also tackles Europe’s ageing population problem.

Lifelong Learning Programme 2007-2013

Description
The lifelong learning programme 2007-2013 encompasses all the European programmes in the field of lifelong learning. The objective of the action programme in the field of lifelong learning 2007-2013 is to develop and foster interchange, cooperation and mobility, so that education and training systems become a world quality reference in accordance with the Lisbon strategy. The action programme is divided into six sub-programmes: Comenius, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig, the Transversal programme and the Jean Monnet programme.
